Last week I organised the freezer, tidied the larder and made shortbread, coconut macaroons and chocolate truffles! My surge of energy seems to have passed now though and instead I am feeling sleepy and unmotivated.

So this week I am trying to be as frugal and simple as possible with my shopping. After dinner tonight with sausages from the freezer I will only be buying one chicken and one gammon joint for the rest of the week.

Baby Pumpkin is due on Friday though so I am secretly hoping that this week’s meal plan will go out the window!

Monday: Sausage, mash and onion gravy

Tuesday: Roast Chicken

Wednesday: Chicken patties (made with leftover chicken and mash)

Thursday: Glazed gammon and couscous

Friday: Chicken noodle soup (probably with lots of chilli if baby isn’t here yet!)

Saturday: Baked potatoes with leftover gammon

Sunday: Chicken, gammon and pea risotto
